RICHMOND, Va. -- NASCAR is heading to Richmond Raceway for its once-a-year trip to the 0.75-mile short track in Virginia's capital city.
The NASCAR Cup Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will race at Richmond Raceway this weekend. Meanwhile, the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series is off.
The Cup Series has three races left until the Chase, including Richmond. Meanwhile, Trucks have two races left until the Chase, including Richmond. NOAPS has just Daytona left.

A few drivers stand out heading into Saturday night's race.
Denny Hamlin leads all drivers in almost every statistic: Top-five finishes (five), top-10 finishes (six), average start (6.6), average finish (5.7) and points earned per race (42.7).
Hamlin also leads with two wins (spring 2022 and 2024) but one driver has been to victory lane just as often as him and more recently than him in the Gen 7 era.
Austin Dillon won the last two Cup Series races at Richmond Raceway. If he can win this weekend, he'd become the first driver since Bobby Allison in 1982-83 to win three Cup races in a row at Richmond. He'd also join Allison, David Pearson (1965-66) and Richard Petty (seven in a row, 1970-73) as the only drivers to win three Cup races in a row there.
Joey Logano won at North Wilkesboro Speedway and had the car to beat at Iowa Speedway before a mishap on pit road sent him to the rear of the field. Logano has also been one of the best drivers at Richmond and would have a Gen 7 win at this track already, if not for Dillon in 2024.
Kyle Larson has led the most Gen 7 laps at Richmond of any active driver (274). He has five top-10 finishes in seven Gen 7 races, including the spring 2023 race he won.
Christopher Bell has never won in the Gen 7 era at Richmond but has had the car to beat multiple times there. With seven second-place finishes this season, he's bound to break through for a win and this weekend could be it.

Notable entries include Connor Hall in Niece Motorsports No. 4 Chevrolet, Corey Heim in TRICON Garage's No. 5 Toyota, Shane van Gisbergen in Spire Motorsports' No. 7 Chevrolet, Elliott Sadler in Kaulig Racing's No. 25 Ram 1500, Tristan McKee in Spire's No. 77 Chevrolet, Christopher Bell in Halmar-Friesen's No. 62 Toyota.
McKee is recently 16 years old and is one of the sport's top prospects.
