Shane van Gisbergen and Connor Zilisch are the odds-on favorites to win all three NASCAR races set for this upcoming weekend at Watkins Glen.
WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. — Road course aces and Trackhouse Racing teammates Shane van Gisbergen and Connor Zilisch are the odds-on favorites to win all three NASCAR races set for this weekend at Watkins Glen International.
Van Gisbergen is favored at +125 odds to win Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race, -105 to win Saturday's NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race and +110 to win Friday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Zilisch is favored at +285 for Cup, +105 for NOAPS and +120 for Trucks.
Van Gisbergen won last year's Cup race at Watkins Glen and finished second in that race the year before. In NOAPS last year, he dueled with Zilisch until they collided in an incident that took SVG out of the race.
Zilisch won that race to back up his 2024 NOAPS debut win at the track but fans likely won't remember his win as well as they will remember the infamous spill in victory lane.
Zilisch finished 14th in the other Cup road course race this season, at Circuit of the Americas, where he came from the back of the pack multiple times.
Shane van Gisbergen finished second in that race to Tyler Reddick, who is the only driver with odds under +1000 to win the Cup race. At +750 to win, Reddick is looking for his sixth win in the first 12 Cup points races.
Other recent road course winners are also high up on the Cup favorites list:

- Chris Buescher +1800: Won at Watkins Glen in 2024
Right behind them is Texas winner Chase Elliott, who is favored at +2000 to win.
The longshots this week include Katherine Legge at +300000 to win, two drivers (Josh Bilicki and Cody Ware) at +250000 and four drivers (Josh Berry, Ty Dillon, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Riley Herbst) at +100000.
