The NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2027 and the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR will be announced Tuesday.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2027 and the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR will be announced Tuesday.
The 2027 class will consist of two people from the Modern era ballot and one person from the Pioneer ballot. The 2026 class consisted of Kurt Busch and Harry Gant on the Modern ballot and Ray Hendrick on the Pioneer ballot.
Here are the nominees for this year's class:
Modern ballot: Greg Biffle, Neil Bonnett, Tim Brewer, Jeff Burton, Randy Dorton, Ray Elder, Ernie Elliott, Kevin Harvick, Randy LaJoie, Jack Sprague.
Pioneer ballot: Ray Fox, Harry Hyde, Banjo Matthews, Herb Nab, Larry Phillips.
The Landmark Award winner will also be voted upon Monday. The 2026 award went to Anne Bledsoe France. These are the 2027 nominees:
Alvin Hawkins, Lesa France Kennedy, Joseph Mattioli, Les Richter, T. Wayne Robertson.

How do you get into the NASCAR Hall of Fame?
According to the NASCAR Hall of Fame, competitors are eligible for the Modern ballot if their career started within the past 60 years (e.g., 1967 for Class of 2027). Nominees can stay on the Modern ballot for up to 10 years. Anyone whose careers started more than 60 years ago or who have been on the Modern ballot for 10 years will be eligible for the Pioneer ballot.
Here are some of the other stipulations the Hall has for eligibility:
- "Drivers who have competed in NASCAR for at least 10 years and have been retired for two years are eligible for nomination to the NHOF. In addition, drivers who have competed for a minimum of 10 years and reached their 55th birthday on or before Dec. 31 of the year prior to the nominating year are immediately eligible for the NHOF."
- "Any driver who has competed for 30 or more years in NASCAR competition by Dec. 31 of the year prior to the nominating year is automatically eligible, regardless of age."
- "Drivers may continue to compete after reaching any of the aforementioned milestones without compromising eligibility for nomination or induction."
- "For non-drivers, individuals must have worked at least 10 years in the NASCAR industry."
