For the second year in a row, Jake Garcia will lead the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series field to the green flag at Rockingham Speedway.

ROCKINGHAM, N.C. — For the second year in a row, Jake Garcia will lead the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series field to the green flag at Rockingham Speedway.

Garcia wheeled his No. 98 Quanta Services Ford F-150 around the 0.94-mile oval in 21.893 seconds. He averaged 154.570 mph and setting himself apart from the field as the only driver to lap in the 21-second range and average at least 154 mph in qualifying.

When Garcia started on the pole last year, he led 43 laps, earned 17 stage points and finished second in the race. The 17 stage points allowed him to earn the most points of any driver that day.

TRICON Garage driver Tanner Gray will share the front row with ThorSport Racing's Garcia after posting a lap of 22.101 seconds.

In third is Kaden Honeycutt, who was fastest overall in practice (22.775 seconds) and fastest on the 10 consecutive lap average (145.989 mph, lap 11 to lap 20).

Teammates Corey Heim and Gio Ruggiero will start seventh and 10th for Friday's race.

Like TRICON, ThorSport put multiple trucks in the top-10. Cole Butcher qualified fourth while Ty Majeski qualified sixth.

Niece Motorsports also put two trucks in the top-10 with Parker Eatmon and Landen Lewis in eighth and ninth. Eatmon was 28th overall in practice while Lewis was 19th.

The lone single truck in the top-10 belonged to Layne Riggs. He will start fifth after running second to Honeycutt on the 10 consecutive lap average (145.619 mph, lap 5 to lap 14) and seventh overall (23.108).

Teammate Chandler Smith has some work to do despite running fourth fastest in practice (23.050) and fourth fastest on the 10 consecutive lap average (145.437 mph, lap 4 to lap 13). He will start 33rd after getting in the field on the strength of his owner points position.

Last year's winner, Tyler Ankrum, will start 13th (22.335). He was also 13th fastest in practice (23.172)

Ankrum won after leading the final 29 laps and stretching his fuel to make it to the end of the 200-lap affair last year. Although Corey Heim led the most laps overall (52), Layne Riggs won both stages after leading 24 laps.

Other lap leaders included Chandler Smith (23), Grant Enfinger (15), Kaden Honeycutt (12), Daniel Hemric (1) and Gio Ruggiero (1).
