ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Connor Mosack will start on the pole for the inaugural NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race Saturday on the Streets of St. Pete, Florida.
Mosack grabbed the pole after rain canceled practice and qualifying, giving the 27-year-old driver from Charlotte, North Carolina, his second career NCTS pole. His first pole came in February of 2025 at EchoPark Speedway Atlanta.
Mosack, in his No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet, will share the front row with Gio Ruggiero in his No. 17 TRICON Garage Toyota.
Both Mosack and Ruggiero have a high-profile teammate who will start inside the top 10. Mosack has James Hinchcliffe, the NTT INDYCAR Series fan favorite who will start third in his No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet. Meanwhile, Ruggiero has Dario Franchitti -- the INDYCAR champion and former NASCAR driver who is making his first NCTS start since 2007 and first NASCAR start, in general, since 2008. Franchitti will start sixth.
Another familiar name, Andretti, will start inside the top 10 for TRICON. Adam Andretti will start 10th. His Toyota teammate, Wesley Slimp, will start seventh for Stewart Friesen's team.
Kaulig's Ram Trucks will start 11th (Justin Haley), 12th (Daniel Dye), 15th (Brenden Queen) and 21st (Mini Tyrell).
Daytona winner Chandler Smith will start fifth.
Kaden Honeycutt and Ben Maier, who sat 1-2 in qualifying before rain canceled it, will start 19th and 35th, respectively.
The NCTS race is on the same weekend and track as the NTT INDYCAR Series season opener. INDYCAR will race Sunday while NCTS will race Saturday at 12 p.m. ET.
The race is 80 laps, 144 miles, on FOX, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio and Performance Racing Network affiliates.
