LAS VEGAS -- RFK Racing was one of three organizations that had at least three cars finish in the top-12 in Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Chris Buescher led RFK with a sixth-place finish, four spots ahead of Brad Keselowski to earn the organization's second double top-10 in a row at Las Vegas.

"It was a good read. We have to take some steps yet. We weren't the dominant cars today but we were in the hunt," Buescher said.

Buescher started 10th and followed teammate Chris Buescher as the first 80 laps unfolded. He finished 11th in the first stage and seventh in the second stage, earning four bonus points on the day.

In the final stage, Buescher made his mark -- restarting eighth and getting all the way up to fourth after another caution and coming into another restart. He found himself in the thick of some of the main players of the day -- Denny Hamlin, Christopher Bell, Chase Elliott and William Byron -- and finished ahead of stage one winner Kyle Larson, in sixth.

"It was a solid day. Practice was tough, qualifying was great and then in the race, we stepped it up. We got going in the right directions. We had good pit stops, good strategy. It just steady working in the right direction." Buescher said.

Buescher led the way in finishing position but Preece led the way for stage points among RFK.

Preece earned the sixth-most stage points on the day (7) and the ninth-most points of any driver in the field (33). He finished seventh in the first stage -- earning four points on lap 80 -- and was the fastest car on the track at one point.

Preece backed that up with an eighth-place run in the second stage -- on lap 165 -- and came off pit road there to start the final stage. The run was the worst of the day for the driver of the No. 60 but a caution with 49 laps to go allowed him to rebound to 11th.

A spot ahead of him was Keselowski, who made the most green-flag passes of anyone who finished inside of the top-10 (105).

Keselowski and his team shared control of the reins at the start of the race. First, Keselowski drove from 28th to 19th in the first stage. Then on pit road, his crew gained him four spots to put him 15th for the restart. On the restart, he gained three spots to be 12th as the second stage started to unfold.

Joe Gibbs Racing's Denny Hamlin and Ty Gibbs ascending through the field pushed Keselowski back to 14th on the stage. However, Keselowski kept up his pace in the final stage to get a 10th-place finish -- his second top-10 of the 2026 season.

Keselowski's drivers -- including himself -- are all in Chase contention leaving Las Vegas:

  • Chris Buescher: 9th (+29 points to the Chase cutline, -109 behind the points leader)
  • Brad Keselowski: 12th (+10, -128)
  • Ryan Preece: 13th (+8, -130)

Next is Darlington Raceway, where Keselowski earned his most recent Cup win in May of 2024. Preece and Buescher have never won there but Buescher is excited, despite the unknowns.

Buescher: We got a lot of unanswered questions there so I hope it's going to be a lot of fun."

Fjeld: "Are you looking forward to it?"

Buescher: "Oh yea!"
