DOVER, Del. -- Ross Chastain shot to the pole for Saturday's NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series BetRivers 200 race at Dover Motor Speedway.
Chastain turned in a lap of 23.317 seconds, averaging 154.394 mph around the 1-mile track in his No. 9 Roto-Rooter Chevrolet. He bested Brandon Jones' No. 20 Menards/DAP Toyota by less than a tenth of a second (23.372 seconds) in qualifying.
Chastain is the first of six Chevrolets in the top-10 while Jones is the first of four Toyotas in the top-10.
Chastain's quasi-teammate, Corey Day, qualified third. Two of his actual JR Motorsports teammates, Rajah Caruth and Carson Kvapil, qualified fourth and seventh.
Haas Factory Team's Sam Mayer and Richard Childress Racing's Jesse Love qualified sixth and 10th, respectively, as the other Chevrolets in the top-10.
Jones' teammates Taylor Gray and William Sawalich qualified fifth and eighth, while Sam Hunt Racing's Harrison Burton qualified ninth.

On the sister track to Dover, Rockingham Speedway, Gray's teammate, William Sawalich won on Easter weekend this year. Brent Crews contended for the win late and Corey Day led the most laps.
The BetRivers 200 goes green just after 4 p.m. ET on the CW, Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
