LAKE WALES, Florida — A contract issue with a new partner means Josh Williams is out of this Saturday's NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Watkins Glen International and NASCAR Canada Series competitor Alex Guenette is in.

DGM Racing named Guenette to its No. 92 Chevrolet, stating a "newly onboarded partner" didn't meet its contractual obligations – forcing Williams out for the weekend.

“This is an unfortunate circumstance for everyone involved,” Williams said. “No team works harder than the men and women at DGM and this is just another setback for a dedicated team that consistently shows up doing so much with so little. We were very excited to bring a new partner into the sport but they weren’t able to fulfill the terms and commitments they agreed to. As a team owner myself, I completely understand the decision that had to be made as a result. Looking forward to the day when we’ll be back.”

Williams will race the No. 92 in various other races in 2026, according to the team. His 2027 contract also remains intact at this time.

In Williams' place, Guenette will have DLGL HRIS Software as a primary partner. He has seven NOAPS starts to his name, including three with DGM Racing, with a best finish of 15th in the inaugural Chicago Street Course race in 2023.

North of the border, Guenette has a win, 18 top-five finishes and 40 top-10 finishes in 60 NASCAR Canada Series starts.

“While this is an incredible opportunity for Alex, this is a terribly difficult situation for our team,” team owner Mario Gosselin said. “Business aside, Josh is like a son to me and I hate that we cannot keep him in the seat this weekend. We came into the season with strong commitments that we believed were going to elevate our program and position our team for success, but when those don’t come to fruition, tough decisions have to be made to protect the future of our program and ensure long-term stability.”

DGM stated the Josh Williams Hospital Tour will remain fully active with visits scheduled at "several" upcoming races. Williams’ long-term partners are working together to support him and the team and they will remain on the No. 92 throughout the rest of the season.

Williams will also remain available so he can continue assisting the team and whoever will drive the No. 92 Chevrolet at races he cannot compete in.

Additional information regarding drivers and sponsors will be announced at a later date.
