MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Viking Motorsports will retain Anthony Alfredo and Parker Retzlaff to drive for the team in the 2027 NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series season.

Alfredo and crew chief Josh Graham will returns to the No. 96 Chevrolet team. Retzlaff and crew chief Danny Efland will also return to the No. 99 Chevrolet team.

Viking Motorsports has been the breakout organization of the series. Alfredo and Retzlaff have each scored multiple top-five finishes and double-digit top-10 finishes – each in their first season with the organization.

Retzlaff earned a spot in the Chase in just the second year of the No. 99 team's existence. With just two races to go, he has four top-fives and 12 top-10s in 31 races this season.

While Alfredo didn't make the Chase, he and his team have three top-fives and 10 top-10s.

"Keeping Anthony, Parker, Josh and Danny together was a priority for us heading into 2027," said Don Sackett, owner of Viking Motorsports. "Both of these teams have shown what they're capable of this season. The way the No. 96 group has come together over the back half of the season has been impressive and the No. 99 making the Chase in just its second full-time year says a lot about the people at Viking Motorsports."

Alfredo had one-year stints at Richard Childress Racing in 2020, Our Motorsports in 2022, BJ McLeod in 2023, Our Motorsports again in 2024 and Young's Motorsports in 2025 before joining Viking this year.

According to Alfredo, his team came together just back in December. The experience with Graham helped them to mesh with the crew. That has shown clearly as, this season, Alfredo has scored the most top-fives, top-10s and laps led in a single season of his career.

Alfredo's career now gets some needed stability with re-signing for 2027.

"Josh and I have worked together before, and the whole No. 96 crew has put in the work to get where we are now. The way we've been running lately shows where this team is headed. Being able to carry that momentum into the offseason is huge for us," he said.

Alfredo's best finishes this season are fourth at Sonoma Raceway in June and Daytona International Speedway in August and fifth at EchoPark Speedway Atlanta in July.

For teammate Retzlaff, who won't be 24 years old until May, 2026 has been big for re-establishing himself as a top young prospect of the sport. In addition to also scoring career-high top-five and top-10 totals, he has also improved his average finish by 9.2 positions from last season, 10 positions from 2024 and 4.4 from his career-high in 2023.

Retzlaff's best finishes this season have been second and third in the EchoPark Speedway Atlanta races and fifth-place finishes at Texas Motor Speedway in May and Sonoma Raceway in June.

Retzlaff has still yet to break through for his first career win. However, with Viking building its foundation on him, Alfredo and the crew chiefs, that win may be just a matter of time.

"This has been the best year of my career and a lot of that comes down to the team assembled around me. Making the Chase was a big goal for us but none of us are satisfied. We know each other now and we know what we need, so having another year with the same group has me excited for what we can do in 2027," Retzlaff said.

Viking Motorsports stated it will share additional details on its 2027 partnerships later this season. Retzlaff and Alfredo's longtime sponsors, FUNKAWAY and Dude Wipes, are likely to return.
