It's a stretch, but with four All-Stars on one team, it's hard not to think this team can be one of the best of all-time.

The Philadelphia 76ers have been given the chance to be the best team not only for the season but also possibly the best team in NBA history.

There’s a chance that this team could finish with one of the top five best records in the NBA. Unfortunately, many people are going to discredit this for a few reasons, one of the biggest being that they are susceptible to injuries. Not only that, it’s just hard for people to see a team that has a 41-year-old player be one of the leaders of a group that could win nearly 70 games.

Now to get into the category, they would have to achieve the best record in the franchise’s history. The 76ers' best record was 68-13 back in the 1966-67 season. Now many of those teams had some of the best defenses to ever play the game. This 76ers team at this moment may not have the best defense, but what they do have is a lineup that can create the best offense.

LeBron James has made history in the past. He’s become the best scorer in NBA history by claiming the most points scored in NBA history. Not only that, but he’s also the only person who helped his team come back from a 3-1 deficit in the playoffs. So if there was anyone who was capable of getting his team together to accomplish this kind of feat, it’s James.

This 76ers team can be unstoppable on offense, and defense doesn’t really matter. The good thing for them is that head coach Nick Nurse is one of the best when it comes to defensive schemes.

Three of the team's five starters averaged over 42 percent from the field. Which means they make a considerable amount of their shots. Two of them, Jaylen Brown and Tyrese Maxey, finished in the top five when it comes to making clutch points. It won’t just be the starters that help guide them to this feat, but the bench is going to play a role too.

They have two players, Dean Wade and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, that play nearly identically to one another. Both players will bolster whatever defensive faults their team has while still being able to contribute offensively given that both can shoot pretty well from the three-point line.

Then there’s Anferenee Simons and Labaron Philon Jr., who both have an offensive skillset that is unmatched. Philon is just a rookie, but he can put the ball in the basket, while Simons can be a playmaker that has a midrange jumper that touches the soul of a 90’s player.

All in all, this team has the right balance of pieces that could make something like beating out the franchise's best record possible. By doing so, it would put them in elite company as one of the best teams ever assembled.
