The 76ers may have one of the best starting lineups to touch the floor. Now, Bleacher Report confirms it with their latest listing.

After seeing the Philadelphia 76ers in action, it’s safe to say that they have the best lineup in the NBA. It’s not just coming from a local beat writer; Bleacher Report feels the same, as they ranked each NBA team by their lineup, and the 76ers were the best of the best.

It’s not hard to see why when you really think about it. Four of the five starters are All-Stars, and even the one who isn’t, VJ Edgecombe, is ranked in the top 100 of players currently playing in the NBA. This entire lineup could have potential to make the all-star team.

From top to bottom there may be a few that are better at their respective positions than the players for the 76ers, but as a unit there’s no team better than them. When you consider that Jaylen Brown and Tyrese Maxey were both in the top five for scoring averages last year, you have to acknowledge that. Even though both players have a high usage rate, it means that they can score at will.

Some say that’s a bad thing, but that’s not necessarily the case. Anyone who has the ball in their hand has the ability to score; it’s just a matter of how you score. It could be off the dribble or it could be from an assist. Either way, both of these players can do both, and that’s more of a positive than a negative.

Now you have a new and improved Joel Embiid, and everyone knows what he can do. Ignoring the injury card, it seems that losing some of that weight was very beneficial. It allows him to be a bit more spry, and it showed in the scrimmage. Embiid was playing great defense and moving more nimble on offense, flying down the court. Then you have the wildcards in LeBron James and VJ Edgecombe. James claims to be taking a backseat, but it seems he’s going to score more than we think.

His jumpshot seems a bit different, but the decision-making is very pristine, and that’s where Edgecombe could thrive. Edgecombe is going to be huge when it comes to finding someone to score. He’s so efficient when he has the ball that it’s going to be hard to not guard him. Edgecombe shot 43 percent from the field, which was third among starters, not including Embiid, considering he missed half the season.

All five starters are capable of scoring at least 20 points, and that’s what makes them the best lineup in the NBA. It’s going to be tough to stop them, and it adheres to the point that the best offense on the association could belong to the 76ers.
