Jaylen Brown has applauded how Tyrese Maxey has helped him since coming to the 76ers. This will be important when the games get close.

The Philadelphia 76ers have been doing what they can to make sure their communication is on point.

Jaylen Brown has been very complimentary of one 76er veteran, Tyrese Maxey. Maxey has been impressing many teammates, especially Brown. In fact, Brown has been very fond of Maxey and how he’s made him feel comfortable getting acclimated to this new system of head coach Nick Nurse.

There are moments in a game or even in practice where a player learns a little something about himself. For Maxey, he’s learned over the years that communication is the key to a winning team. All throughout training camp he’s been one of the loudest in the gym, and it’s apparent that he wants the new guys to pick up as much as they can before the season starts.

Dean Wade has even touched on Maxey and how special he is as a player. Wade even said that Maxey, along with Edgecombe, doesn't miss a beat. That they are all in sync and don’t miss on the little details. Wade says that those two are lightning quick and it’s going to be hard to stop.

That’s something that comes with being around one another and learning how the other thinks. This is exactly what Maxey is trying to get guys like Brown to grasp. It’s not going to be easy because whenever you deal with new pieces to a puzzle, it’s hard to find where they perfectly fit. But they have the talent and intelligence to make it happen.

What will help them is having Joel Embiid there to help them. Bet many were thinking LeBron James would be the one who can help them, but not in this case. James is new here too. Even though he may know everything there is to know, it doesn’t mean he can pick up on some of the nuances that are in Nurse’s system.

Embiid is going to be the eyes and ears when it comes to the defensive side of the ball. That's why he is next in line behind Maxey to help this team be better at communication. Embiid knows how to get his guys where they need to be, and he himself said he wants to do whatever it takes to win a championship. Well, this is the first step in doing just that.

Communication can make or break a team, and for Philadelphia, they don’t have that choice to break. It’s a chance to do something great, and in order to do that, they have to be selfless.
