LeBron James’ Agent Claims 76ers Are Not a Juggernaut

The 76ers have the possibility to be an all-time great team. Rich Paul believes it'll take time before that can happen.

The Philadelphia 76ers were once called a juggernaut team by Kevin Durant.

Not many people get that kind of adjective used to describe them. Rich Paul, on the other hand, doesn’t believe any bit of it. To him, this team has too much to prove before being labeled as anything.

Paul sat down with Kellerman and broke down when he may believe this team is a juggernaut. He detailed he won’t care until they get a quarter of the way through the season and added that he’ll truly believe it after he sees where they are at after the trade deadline.

It’s a fair assessment considering no one truly knows what this team will be. It’s going to take time for this team to get things together, and it doesn’t help that they’re opening the season against the defending champions, the New York Knicks. What we do know is that this team has plenty of potential.

Jaylen Brown and LeBron James are obviously the big guys on campus, so many will expect them to handle things. Meanwhile, you have Joel Embiid, and he is probably the biggest piece to the team, but we don't know if he is healthy enough. The other thing that no one is questioning is if Embiid lost too much weight during the offseason. That weight loss could make him more vulnerable in the paint when he goes against players like Nikola Jokic, who could start to have his way with him.

The good thing is that this front office has added players that can be of good use compared to the bench of last year. Last year's bench only averaged 32.4 points per game, a stat the office clearly wanted to change. But it's not going to be enough to change Paul’s mind.

He, like the rest of us, is going to have to see how this all turns out. Paul feels this team has all the tools, but they can’t get it all to work in just a few games. He details that James plans to have fun no matter what happens. It doesn’t mean he won’t take things seriously; it just means he’ll be coming in with a relaxed mind because this team has a better roster and everything won’t fall on him.

This team will be seriously scrutinized no matter how the season turns out. But this juggernaut team will have to get things together quickly, or it could go left and leave more questions than answers.
