LeBron James' Former Teammate Shares Bold Take on GOAT Debate

Everyone is still going on in the GOAT debate. Is it LeBron or is it Jordan? Well, it looks like sharpshooter Ray Allen has made his pick.

The new Philadelphia 76er was the topic of discussion when Allen was asked if James could ever be the best ever. Simply put, Allen said no and continued to explain the differences between him and Michael Jordan. Speaking from experience playing against both and being a teammate of James, it says quite a bit about what Allen believes.

The debate could go on and on, but this move to Philadelphia could be just what the doctor ordered when it comes to changing the narrative.

The team behind James could help catapult him to that number one spot. Now, there will be people who say he chose to go to a team of All-Stars, and it nullifies his case. Let’s just ignore that for a second and look at what’s in front of us.

James could potentially win another NBA title for a third franchise. That’s just unheard of. Jaylen Brown and Joel Embiid can assist in that exact thing. This season is going to be the turning point into who many decide to be the GOAT.

Philadelphia is a city of chance, and the chance to win is now. James can not only accomplish that but also add to his career stats. James is entering his 24th season, and he still looks good for a man considered past his prime. His ball knowledge is out of this world, and it’s an asset for the season.

When James joins a team, he makes them better. That’s just a fact. He has new toys in VJ Edgecombe and Tyrese Maxey, along with Brown. Embiid is a player he’s dealt with in some capacity in the past, and that will be part of his story. Imagine if James can average a double-double and sit near the top in assists and scoring.

This roster is built to last. James has run rugshot through the East and West, winning multiple championships along the way. The GOAT debate is about who is the best player. When James dons that Philadelphia jersey for the first time, the clock will officially start on how his legacy will be remembered.

If winning does anything, it’s going to make it extremely hard for players and fans alike to deny James that GOAT title, despite his Finals record.
