Bogoljiub Markovic
The player that should have the most Milwaukee eyes on him is Bogoljiub Markovic, the international star and Milwaukee's second-round pick from 2025 that the team just signed to a multi-year contract.
Markovic used his size, strength and skill in dominating fashion against Golden State, shooting 8-12 from the field to score 16 points along with seven rebounds, tied for the team lead, three assists and one steal.
Playing this past season overseas in the ABA, Markovic certainly distinguished himself, enough so to earn ABA league MVP, and before he's even made his official NBA debut Markovic is already showing exactly why the Bucks see so much value in him.
Standing at an impressive 6'11, Markovic has the size and physicality that the Bucks desperately need and if a performance like he had against Golden State is a preview of what he can become, then Milwaukee certainly has their next great power forward on their hands.
Brandon Boston Jr.
A similarly stellar performance came from Brandon Boston Jr., who just beat out Markovic for the team in scoring with 17 points while shooting 6-9 from the field, including one three pointer, while adding four rebounds and three assists.
Boston Jr. has had a somewhat tumultuous career, playing four seasons in the NBA, three with the Los Angeles Clippers and one with the New Orleans Pelicans, before heading overseas to play in the EuroLeague.
The Bucks picked him up for their Summer League squad and should Boston Jr. continue to play like the electric, high-motor guard that he showed himself to be against Golden State, then he could very well earn himself at least a two-way contract to keep himself in Milwaukee.
