The Bucks are looking to move multiple players.
The Milwaukee Bucks are basically assumed at this point to be trading away Giannis Antetokounmpo this offseason, a move that will signal a major shift in the direction of the franchise.
Trading their franchise star means that the Bucks will have to start rebuilding, making Ryan Rollins the center of what the franchise can be. But, it looks like the Bucks are looking to reshape the roster in far more ways that the big swing of parting ways with Antetokounmpo and the roster in Milwaukee could be unrecognizable next season.
Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer recently reported that in addition to Antetokounmpo, the Bucks could be looking to move both Bobby Portis and Kyle Kuzma, potentially packaged with Antetokounmpo.
A Major Trade Package
This would dramatically change what would already have to be a hefty haul from any team looking to trade for Antetokounmpo and lends credence to the idea that what could ultimately be a three-team trade given the sheer volume of players that would have to be involved in such a deal.
Portis has been a mainstay of the Bucks for the past six seasons, even receiving Sixth Man of the Year nods in the three seasons. In that time Portis has been a part of the championship winning highs as well as the lows of this past season.
Moving on from Portis signals a desire for a culture change nearly as much as moving on from Antetokounmpo does.
Portis' veteran status, his leadership and his continued production off the bench does bode well for his trade stock. He averaged 13.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 24.2 minutes per game while stepping up to start nine games when injuries to the starting roster necessitated it.
Kuzma is a different case. He's played two seasons in Milwaukee as one the latest attempts by the Bucks to bolster the roster with some upper level talent around Antetokounmpo and ultimately his time with the Bucks has been somewhat of a mixed bag.
He saw his usage taper off in the 2025-26 season and while he was still mostly a starter, he was relegated to the bench for 26 games.
Starting A New Era
Kuzma has his least productive season of his career this past season averaging 13 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists and that hasn't been the kind of production that the Bucks were expecting when they brought him aboard.
Still, packaging him in a deal with Antetokounmpo would certainly elevate his trade value while also letting the Bucks offload the $20+ million that he's owed for next season for next season before becoming a free agent.
This is certainly an intriguing new development in what's been a constantly changing sage in regard to Antetokounmpo and if it pans out as the Bucks are rumored to be planning, they could jumpstart a new era in Milwaukee with this level of personnel change.
