Bucks leadership is confident in Taylor Jenkins.
The hiring of Taylor Jenkins as the newest head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks is the first step of the Bucks' plan to revamp the franchise and even with a number of potential head coaches available to be hired, the Bucks are confident that Jenkins is the right person to lead the Bucks into a new era.
There are a lot of strength's to Jenkins' hire. He's a proven winner from his time with the Memphis Grizzlies, where he went 250-214 over six seasons from 2019-25, leading the Grizzlies to four playoff appearances.
Jenkins has also been lauded for his ability to develop young players and with the Bucks in need of a rebuild, a steady hand guiding young players to the top of their potential will be a huge asset to the team.

On top of his actual resume, Jenkins is familiar with the the Bucks as well. He spent one season as an assistant coach in Milwaukee from 2018-19, just before he was hired by the Grizzlies, and that familiarity with the Bucks' system, even if it was from some time ago, will ease his transition into the franchise.
By the way that Bucks' co-owner Jimmy Haslam described it in a press conference, there was no doubt in the organization's mind that Jenkins was the right man for the job.
"We knew who we wanted to hire as our coach, and it was Taylor Jenkins. And you say 'well how do you know that?' Sometimes luck and skill, and Jon [Horst], Wes [Edens] and myself," Haslam said to the media. "Jon, certainly more than Wes and I, know a lot of people around the NBA, and every reference was outstanding."
What is Jenkins Walking Into?
This will be an unsteady time for the Bucks, so adding some stability at the top was the first thing that the Bucks needed to do to start getting the team back on track.

Jenkins is certainly stepping into uncertain territory given the state of the Bucks as a franchise, but ownership's confidence in is a good sign toward a future of stability and ideally, a future of success that Milwaukee fans have become accustomed to over the last decade.
