A Giannis Antetokounmpo trade may be on the horizon.
The offseason is almost in full swing and for the Milwaukee Bucks, there are a lot of moves to make.
The move that that will have the most impact on the future of the franchise is what exactly to do with franchise star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
This past season was rife with drama around Antetokounmpo. Not only was the Greek star held back by injuries for most of the season, but he also a lot of noise about his level of satisfaction, or lack thereof, with the performance of the Bucks, leading to rumors that he would force a trade at the deadline.

Giannis' Relationship With Milwaukee
He continued to be upset with the state of the team and even though he stayed in Milwaukee through the end of the season, he continued to loudly express his discontent with the team and make a series of vague statements that left the idea of him finding a new home still up in the air.
Bucks ownership has said that they would like to make a firm decision on Antetokounmpo, whether he'll stay with the team or not, by the NBA Draft so that the team can have a clear idea of what the needs and direction of the team will be and now it seems like the team is taking steps to move that process along.
The Bucks are reportedly "open for business" when it comes to trading Antetokounmpo and are ready to take calls from prospective teams to entertain offers for the star, who remains one of the best players in the league even if the 2025-26 season was limited by injury.
Who Could Trade For Him?
A move that like would truly shake the league and it would promise to not only be a huge lift to whatever team managed to secure Antetokounmpo, but the haul that the Bucks would have to receive in return, whether that be in players, picks or most likely, a mixture of both, would jumpstart a clearly necessary rebuild for Milwaukee.
Just about any team on the edge of contending would likely at least call in about Antetokounmpo, with teams like the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics all being teams that checked in about Antetokounmpo at the deadline and could be in the running for him in the offseason.
Whatever trade, if there is any by the start of next season, would be costly for whichever team manages to land it, but the return could be game-changing.
