Charles Barkley has a trade idea for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks are likely headed for a split this offseason, with the Bucks reportedly listening to offers on their franchise superstar.

Many trade ideas have been floated since the the trade deadline when Giannis rumors began to heat up, and they have only become inflated since the end of the regular season when the Bucks failed to make the play-in tournament or the playoffs.

The Minnesota Timberwolves, Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, and more have all been linked to Giannis. Pundits have also wondered if teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers or Oklahoma City Thunder might get in on the former MVP after both teams fell in the conference finals.

Charles Barkley Makes A Deal

On ESPN's Get Up, NBA Hall of Famer and Inside The NBA analyst Charles Barkley said that the Bucks should trade Giannis to Boston in exchange for Jaylen Brown.

“If you get Jaylen Brown, you're getting a great player," he said.

Brown made the All-Star team, was second team All-NBA, and finished sixth in NBA voting this past season.

With Jayson Tatum sidelined for the majority of the year due to an Achilles injury, Brown had his most productive season yet, averaging 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists while shooting 47% from the field and 34% from three.

He'll be 30 in October, but he's shown that he can lead a team on his own and he's a former Finals MVP. Brown would be one of the best players Milwaukee could get in a potential deal for Giannis.

Should The Bucks Do It?

Only if they are looking to remain competitive. Brown is a good enough player to win games with the right players around him. The Bucks don't have outright control of their draft until 2031 as they could owe picks in 2027 and 2028. That could be enoough incentive to want to remain competitive to ensure they aren't giving up potential lottery picks.

Unless the Thunder jump in with an offer that includes Chet Holmgren or Jalen Williams or the Cavaliers jump in with an offer featuring Evan Mobley, Brown is likely to be the best player they can get, and he's better than the three mentioned, but they all have youth on their side.

If the Bucks would to fully embrace a rebuild, they could still make the deal to gain draft capital from the Celtics, and then flip Brown for even more draft capital as he has more value around the league than rumored players like Julius Randle or Jimmy Butler.
