Giannis Antetokounmpo doesn't sound convinced by Taylor Jenkins.
The Milwaukee Bucks may not be in panic mode quite yet, but with every passing moment in the offseason there are more and more troubling signs of the state of the franchise.
Appeasing their star Giannis Antetokounmpo clearly has to be the team's top priority, but with everything that Antetokounmpo has said, even after he stayed with the team at the deadline this past season despite rumblings that he was going to force a trade to a contender, it looks like Antetokounmpo is fed up with the team.
The real offseason still hasn't begun quite yet, meaning that the Bucks still have a chance to make serious movies through free agency or the trade market to make a change, but they've already started to revamp the team with by hiring Taylor Jenkins to be the newest head coach.

Jeff Hanisch-Imagn ImagesOn paper, Jenkins should be the perfect addition for the Bucks. He's a proven winner as a head coach with the Memphis Grizzlies from 2019-2025 and he was previously an assistant coach with the Bucks from 2018-19, giving him some familiarity with both the team structure as a whole and with Antetokounmpo.
Giannis Speaks Up About Jenkins
It should be an encouraging indication of step in the right direction for the Bucks, but Antetokounmpo may not be fully convinced.

Jeff Hanisch-Imagn ImagesIn an interview with the Milwaukee Sentinel, Antetokounmpo had a brief and ominous response when asked about his feelings of playing under Jenkins and what it could mean for the team.
"We'll see," Antetokounmpo said.
Team chemistry is such a crucial factor in team success and when a team's best player is seemingly in open mutiny with the franchise, it can be potentially disastrous for the team.

Rick Osentoski-Imagn ImagesFormer head coach Doc Rivers previously spoke about how rumors of Antetokounmpo being traded hurt the atmosphere in the locker room this past season and with everything that Antetokounmpo has been saying, it certainly doesn't seem like he's encouraged by the state of the franchise.
How Do the Bucks Proceed?
That puts the Bucks in a supremely hard position. The focus of this offseason at this point is geared toward creating a team around Antetokounmpo that will not only create winning, but create winning quickly to keep Antetokounmpo happy.

This offseason will be one that could decide the direction of the Bucks for a long time and the feelings of Antetokounmpo will be the biggest factor in those decisions.
