Which teams could line up for the Bucks star?
The biggest question of the NBA offseason starts and ends with Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Milwaukee Bucks limped to a 32-50 record and missed the playoffs entirely, and the two-time MVP's future has never felt this uncertain.
Giannis still averaged 27.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists in just 36 games this season, but injuries and a widening rift with the front office wrecked what was supposed to be a retooling year.
The Bucks kept Antetokounmpo at the February trade deadline, but the expectation around the league is that Milwaukee will field offers again this offseason.
Giannis reportedly has not had meaningful conversations with team leadership since then about his plans, and the hiring of Taylor Jenkins as head coach happened without his involvement.
With one guaranteed year left on his deal and a player option after that, the Bucks risk losing him for nothing if they drag this out much longer.
New York Knicks
The Knicks have been connected to Giannis since before the deadline, and reports indicate New York is the only team outside of Milwaukee that he would seriously consider.
Jalen Brunson averaged 26.0 points and 6.8 assists while leading the Knicks to a 53-29 record, and pairing him with Antetokounmpo would give New York one of the most dangerous duos in basketball.
The problem is that the Knicks lack the draft picks and young talent rebuilding teams want in return.
Karl-Anthony Towns would likely have to be included along with whatever first-rounders New York can piece together through multi-team deals, and if Giannis tells the rest of the league he only wants to play in New York, that could scare off other bidders and lower the asking price.
Golden State Warriors
Golden State went 37-45 and already offered four first-round picks at the deadline. That number jumps to five once the draft arrives.
Stephen Curry averaged 26.6 points in 43 games at age 38, and the Warriors simply cannot burn another season while he is still playing at this level.
Curry and Antetokounmpo on the same floor would be a nightmare for opposing defenses, and the deeper into the future those draft picks go, the more valuable they become once Curry steps away.
If Golden State is willing to empty the cupboard, it could put together the cleanest package Milwaukee receives.
Miami Heat
The Heat finished 43-39 and are stuck in that frustrating spot between real contender and play-in team.
Tyler Herro would almost certainly be the centerpiece of any deal along with multiple first-round picks, and Andrew Wiggin's contract situation could help with salary matching.
Miami has never been afraid to make the big swing when a star becomes available, and dropping Giannis next to Bam Adebayo would reshape a franchise that badly needs a spark.
Whether Giannis gets traded depends on a lot of moving pieces.
But the Bucks are running out of reasons to keep waiting, and the league knows that.
