Jaylin Sellers is joining the Chicago Bulls as a two-way player after going undrafted this summer.
Jaylin Sellers took a unique path to get from college basketball to the NBA. He began his career at Ball State, then transferred to UCF before spending his final season of NCAA eligibility at Providence.
The 6-foot-5 guard now has a home with the Chicago Bulls. After going unselected in this summer's NBA Draft, Sellers agreed to terms on a two-way contract to head to the Windy City. The deal allows him to travel freely between the franchise's NBA and G League rosters and be active for as many as 50 NBA regular season games.
Sellers shared an inside look into his draft night via a video on his YouTube channel, in which the undrafted 23-year-old received a phone call from the Bulls' vice president of player personnel, Acie Law IV.
The video began with workouts on the first and second days of the NBA Draft before pivoting to Sellers' draft party in Orlando, Fla.

You see your peers getting drafted, guys that you watch throughout the season. I was happy for some of those guys, majority of those guys, just seeing how hard they worked, and I know how hard it is to get there. I just wanted to see my name being called, which didn't happen, but I'm thankful that it didn't because I feel like I'm in a great situation."
Sellers left the room after the No. 55 overall pick, realizing he wasn't going to get drafted. Not too long after, though, his phone rang. It was Law.
Law informed Sellers that the Bulls would like to extend him a two-way offer to come play for the team, and Sellers thanked Chicago's front office for the opportunity before sharing an emotional moment with his friends and family.
Although Law's full quote was cut off by the video editing, he initially discussed Chicago's decision to trade out of the second round. The Bulls entered the second night of the 2026 NBA Draft with the Nos. 38 and 56 overall picks, but ended up dealing both for what amounted to future second-round pick swaps and cash considerations.
Executive vice president of basketball operations Bryson Graham received criticism for the moves, but said he felt confident in the value that he was getting in return and the players that were available on the board. Based on Law's comments to Sellers and the timing of his two-way deal, it's fair to assume that Graham felt comfortable trading back because he believed the Bulls could sign Sellers as an undrafted free agent instead.
Sellers' two-way contract will pay him approximately $678,000 over the course of the 2026-27 season. He and former Arizona forward Tobe Awaka are the only two players that Chicago has signed to two-way deals.
In five games of NBA Summer League play in Las Vegas, Sellers averaged 15.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game on 39.3% shooting.
