The Bulls' season is right around the corner, and there is plenty to be excited about. Here are three things worth watching as Chicago tips off a new era under Bryson Graham and Tiago Spiltter.
Player Development
The Bulls are a young team loaded with upside and star potential. Two players who stand out immediately are Caleb Wilson, the No. 4 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, and Matas Buzelis, the No. 11 pick in the 2024 Draft. Dailyn Swain and Noa Essengue, both of whom suited up in this past Summer League, are also expected to take strides in year one.
Player development has historically been the Bulls' biggest concern. Chicago has drafted talented players who didn't flourish until after they left, a frustrating pattern for the fanbase. But with a new front office led by Bryson Graham and a fresh coaching staff, those days could finally be behind them.

It will be fascinating to watch the Bulls establish their identity under head coach Tiago Splitter. How will this roster play together? Which lineups prove most effective? Can Wilson and Buzelis share the floor and complement each other's games, or will their styles clash?
The additions of Norman Powell and Buddy Hield also add an interesting dimension. Both are proven veterans and capable shooters who could provide stability alongside the youth movement. How their experience shapes the locker room and influences the younger players will be one of the season's more compelling storylines.
The Rookie Campaigns of Wilson and Swain
Perhaps the most exciting thing to follow this season is how Wilson and Swain perform in their NBA debuts. Wilson had a standout Summer League, quieting critics who questioned his three-point shooting and reinforcing his belief that he is the best player in his draft class. The NBA is a different animal than Summer League, but Wilson has the tools to make an early impact and is a legitimate Rookie of the Year candidate.
Swain had a rough Summer League, but that shouldn't overshadow what he's capable of. Playing in his natural position and operating in isolation situations, his athleticism and skill set should translate well at the next level.
Chicago's rebuild is underway. This season won't be perfect and isn't in a win-now situation, but they will be building in that direction starting this upcoming season. The Chicago Bulls are set to begin training camp on Tuesday, Sep. 29. Powell will suit up for the Bulls for the first time on Wednesday, Oct. 7, when Chicago hosts the Phoenix Suns in a preseason bout.
