Spencer German hosts the latest edition of Courtside with Cavs, as Spencer Davies reports from training camp at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Topics of the show include the following:

    • The Cavs started training camp following an eventful Media Day in downtown Cleveland at Rocket Arena. They immediately headed down to IMG Academy in beautiful Bradenton, Florida, where they will end things on Sunday before preparing for the Chicago Bulls. "Spencer Squared" catches up as one-half made the trip south for the first three days.
    • New additions are the talk of the town during the early portion of the preseason. Lonzo Ball, Larry Nance Jr., and Thomas Bryant are all helping push the wine-and-gold to be at their best. Cavs rookie Tyrese Proctor is also getting rave reviews among young talent in general.
    • We revisit De'Andre Hunter's role with Cleveland as his relationship with Kenny Atkinson has exponentially grown. Is the team thinking about starting him? What would he look like in an everyday trio with Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen?
    • Speaking of Mobley, there are enormously high expectations of the supremely talented seven-footer going into this season. He will be asked to handle and playmake, but the strength part of the equation isn't being talked about enough. Atkinson doesn't want him to completely go away from attacking the bucket just to be a perimeter player.
    • Atkinson clued us in on how Allen can be used in 5-out sets. Allen himself discussed how he can get more comfortable against more modern-day units like that, as well as how he will defend in space when he's on his own.
    • Darius Garland pointedly said on Media Day that he is the Cavs' leader. This season, he wants to embrace this role as a more vocal presence, especially as he recovers from his injury.
