LeBron James reportedly wants to play with Anthony Davis or Kyrie Irving again.

According to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, LeBron James is waiting for the Cleveland Cavaliers to trade for Anthony Davis or Kyrie Irving.

LeBron is slow-playing his decision to see if a suitor can trade for Davis or Irving.

LeBron and Irving were teammates on the Cavaliers from 2014-15 to 2017-18. The two All-Stars went to three straight NBA Finals and led Cleveland to the 2016 championship.

Irving requested a trade from the Cavaliers in the summer of 2018 and was traded to the Boston Celtics because he didn't want to play under LeBron's shadow anymore. However, LeBron and Irving are on good terms again.

Davis and LeBron were teammates on the Los Angeles Lakers from 2019-20 to 2024-25. The future Hall of Famers led the Lakers to the 2020 championship at the Walt Disney World Bubble. LeBron and Davis also have the same agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports Group.

Irving is currently a member of the Dallas Mavericks, while Davis plays for the Washington Wizards. It will be fascinating to see if the Cavaliers attempt to trade for Irving or Davis to appease LeBron.

LeBron, as everyone knows, is the greatest player in Cleveland franchise history. In two stints (2003-10, 2014-18) with the Cavaliers, LeBron averaged 27.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.8 blocks per game. He won two MVPs and one Finals MVP and made 10 All-Star and 10 All-NBA teams.

The Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves are in the LeBron sweepstakes right now. Paul said on the latest episode of his podcast that LeBron will not be "rushed" into picking his next team.

Paul's comments came in the wake of NBA commissioner Adam Silver saying LeBron needs to make his decision ASAP so that the league can come up with the 2026-27 schedule.

"We're not going to be rushed," Paul said on the latest podcast episode of "Game Over" with Max Kellerman and Rich Paul, released Monday evening. "We're not going to be rushed. It's his choice to make and when he makes the choice, he'll make it. ... I saw Adam in New York and we discussed it. And like I said, it's still his choice. So if he doesn't really know, you can't rush it. You can't rush it."

It's unknown when LeBron will make his decision. It sounds like Paul doesn't even know.

"These people don't know anything," Paul said. "I don't know when his choice is going to be made, but it could be 48 seconds [from now]. It could be 48 minutes. I don't know. Again, you can't make somebody know something that they don't know."
