After Chris Cenac Jr. impressed in the first game of the Las Vegas session, it was Dillon Mitchell's turn on Sunday.
The Boston Celtics moved to 2-0 in the Las Vegas Summer League session on Sunday, beating the Charlotte Hornets 87-75.
Boston has two more Summer League games left before a possible berth in the Summer League playoffs, which are July 18 and 19.
Before the game began, we gave you three storylines to watch for, so let's check in and see how they went:
On the Hugo Gonzalez front
The senior member of the Celtics' Summer League roster continued to struggle offensively in this one. One game after going 3-for-16, he went just 3-of-10, and 3-of-9 from three-point range. He had four rebounds and four assists, while also committing five turnovers.
Two Summer League games aren't going to derail his chance for playing time in 2026-27, but with Jaylen Brown gone now, there are minutes to be had for wing players. Gonzalez is one of the players trying to benefit from that, so he'd like to put forth some better tape. He did have three steals and a block as well.
On the Dillon Mitchell front
The second-round pick from St. John's struggled in the opener, scoring just four points on 2-of-6 shooting.
He was much better in this one, scoring 24 points on 10-of-20 shooting. He also pulled down eight rebounds and had six steals and two blocks.
Also impressive, he had seven offensive rebounds and connected for two 3-pointers.

Geoff Burke-Imagn ImagesThe Celtics don't always give playing time to rookies, but Mitchell is someone trying to crack the wing rotation. If his athleticism can shine through like this consistently, he'll find himself in the mix for minutes.
The Chris Cenac encore
The team's first-round pick from Houston had 14 points and 10 rebounds in the opener, but wasn't as impactful this time. He played just 19 minutes, going 1-of-7 from the floor for two points. He did have five rebounds and a block, but he failed to show the same impact.

Speaking on Friday's edition of 'The Herd,' popular radio host Colin Cowherd said that he believes the Celtics will be better without Brown.
"Here we are with Jaylen Brown," Cowherd said on the show. "(NFL edge rusher Micah Parsons) was a flawed star (before being traded), (Luka Doncic) was a great but flawed star. ... Jaylen Brown is great but a totally flawed star. He's not a top 20 player analytically and that's what drives the bus for the Celtics in the lead. Since he has arrived, the Celtics have a higher winning percentage when he doesn't play. ... Micah, Luka and Jaylen Brown, I will again be on an island. I think the Celtics will be better next year."
