George will have his introductory press conference on Tuesday, and he was in the gym on Monday.
On Tuesday, the Boston Celtics will introduce Paul George, Mike Conley Jr. and Mitchell Robinson at an introductory press conference that comes two weeks before the start of the team's training camp (Sept. 29).
On Monday, George was in the gym getting an early workout in, and Celtics fans got an early look at him. The team posted the video on social media, and we saw George talking with head coach Joe Mazzulla as well.
It's always hard to take any real information from these kind of workout videos, but the bottom line is that George looks healthy and appeared to be moving well, and the Celtics will need that in 2026-27.
While George hasn't been introduced yet, he does appear to be excited about the chance to join the Celtics, as he indicated in an offseason video that the Celtics shared on social media. George was acquired this offseason from the Philadelphia 76ers in the deal that sent Jaylen Brown to the 76ers.
George is a 16-year veteran of the Indiana Pacers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Los Angeles Clippers and 76ers. A nine-time All-Star, George is one of the best players of the last 15 years or so, but he's no longer quite the same player. That doesn't mean that he can't be an impact piece for the C's, however.
He's played less than 57 games in six of the last seven seasons, so the Celtics will have to work to keep him healthy, but if he can stay healthy, he can make some noise in both the regular season and the playoffs.
He's a six-time All-NBA selection, a four-time All-Defensive selection and a former steals champion. Offensively, he's averaged 20.5 ppg for his career. He's still very capable of scoring, especially with his jumpshot. He averaged more than 17 ppg last year for the 76ers and was very solid in the playoffs when the 76ers beat the Celtics in seven games in the first round.

Boston's rivals, the Toronto Raptors, officially acquired Kawhi Leonard on Monday. However, they gave up quite a haul to get him, and we believe that the deal will make life tougher for the Celtics in short term, but easier in the long-term.
Boston finished 56-26 last season and finished second in the Eastern Conference. The Raptors finished fifth at 46-36, but they appear primed for a bump with Leonard in the fold.
