It’s been a tumultuous offseason for the Boston Celtics as they look to rebound from a devastating first-round exit at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers in a series where Boston blew a 3-1 lead. With just 18 days to go until the team is set to open training camp, the Celtics will officially put 2025-26 in the rearview mirror and turn their attention to the new season, hosting an introductory press conference for their three biggest offseason acquisitions, Paul George, Mitchell Robinson and Mike Conley.

As noted by WEEI’s Justin Turpin, George, Robinson and Conley will be made available to the media alongside Celtics President Brad Stevens and Head Coach Joe Mazzulla at Boston’s Auerbach Center on Tuesday afternoon.

Here’s what you need to know about the trio:

About George

Boston acquired the 16-year veteran alongside two first-round picks and two second-round picks from Philadelphia in the blockbuster deal for All-NBA forward Jaylen Brown. The 36-year-old will join the fifth team of his career, having also spent time in Indiana, Oklahoma City, and Los Angeles before joining Philadelphia ahead of the 2024-25 season.

After averaging 20.8 points per game in his first 14 seasons, the six-time All-NBA selectee saw his numbers take a hit in two seasons with Philadelphia, averaging only 16.7 points per game while being limited to only 78 games thanks to injuries.

About Robinson

Just weeks after winning the NBA Finals as a member of the New York Knicks, the 28-year-old center joined his former division rival, inking a three-year, $47.4-million deal with Boston on July 1. Robinson spent the first eight years of his career in New York, averaging 7.5 points, eight rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game.

Robinson appeared in 60 games for New York in 2025-26, starting 16 of them, and averaged 5.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game. The 28-year-old big man appeared in 18 playoff games en route to a title, averaging 4.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks in 13.9 minutes per game.

About Conley

In a somewhat surprising move, the Celtics kicked off free agency by inking the 2007 fourth overall pick to a one-year, $3.88 million deal for what will be the veteran’s 20th season. Over his career, Conley averaged 13.6 points per game as a member of the Memphis Grizzlies, Utah Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves. However, the now-38-year-old averaged just 1.7 points per game in 18.4 minutes with Minnesota in 2025-26.

The Celtics are set to open training camp on Sept. 29 ahead of their regular season opener on Oct. 20 in Detroit.
