The Boston Celtics guard was streaming live on Twitch when the announcement was made.

On Sunday night, Boston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown was named to the NBA's All-Second team after averaging 28.7 ppg and leading the Boston Celtics to a 56-26 record.

There was certainly a case to be made for Brown on the first team, especially since Cade Cunningham and Luka Doncic both played 64 games, which is lower than the 65-game threshold that the NBA has set for postseason awards. Both were given exemptions. Brown played 71 and finished third in the NBA in total points this season.

As the announcement was made, Brown was streaming live on Twitch, something he has done all season long. He said he wasn't surprised at the decision.

"I'm not the most liked (by) fans or (by) media. Sometimes I use my platform a little controversial, so I'm surprised I'm on any team, let alone first or second... I'm grateful. God is the greatest... I'm grateful for everything. I'm not surprised... I know who I am...I'm surprised I win awards at all sometimes."

I don't know that Brown isn't liked by media members and I don't know that he's not liked by fans, but he's certainly entitled to his opinion. What is true is that Celtics fans have kind of universally chosen to value Jayson Tatum over him, often times including Brown in mock trades they've concocted since he came into the NBA a decade ago.

But regardless of how people feel about him, Brown has carved out an incredible place for himself in team history. A five-time All-Star, he was the MVP of the NBA Finals in 2023-24 as the Celtics won their 19th championship by beating the Dallas Mavericks.

Now the question will be if he'll get a chance to add to that team history. Once again, Brown finds himself at the center of trade rumors as the Celtics potentially look to change around their roster. Several people, including Colin Cowherd want to send him to the Milwaukee Bucks for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

--Former Celtics big trade piece Evan Fournier just earned a major accolade in the EuroLeague, being named as the MVP of the EuroLeague Final Four. He's playing for Olympiacos, who won the title.

As noted by RealGM, Fournier had 30 points in two Final Four games, while also adding nine rebounds and eight assists.

Still only 33 years old, Fournier spent 12 years in the NBA with the Orlando Magic, Celtics, New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons and Denver Nuggets. He was with the Celtics in 2020-21 after being acquired from the Magic. He played just 16 games for Boston in the regular season, scoring 13.0 ppg. While there were other draft picks in the deal, Boston gave up Jeff Teague to Orlando as the main player center piece.

He played five games for the Celtics in the playoffs, scoring 15.4 ppg as the Celtics lost to the Brooklyn Nets in five games.
