Kawhi Leonard Remains Out Against Washington Wizards cover image

The Los Angeles Clippers will once again be without Kawhi Leonard as they take on the Washington Wizards

The Los Angeles Clippers will look to keep their momentum going as they face the Washington Wizards on Monday.

The Clippers have won five straight games, coming off a 121-117 overtime victory over the Toronto Raptors on Friday. The Clippers are 12-2 in their last 14 games, pulling themselves from the bottom of the Western Conference to being in contention for a Play-In spot.

The Wizards have been at the bottom of the Eastern Conference all season, and that hasn't changed with their recent play. The Wizards have lost six straight games, and seven of their last eight. They have just ten wins on the year.

These two teams just met on January 14 in Los Angeles, a 119-105 victory for the Clippers. Kawhi Leonard led the Clippers with 33 points.

Los Angeles Clippers Injury Report

The Clippers will be without Kawhi for the Martin Luther King Day Jr contest as he's OUT with a left knee contusion. Leonard missed the game against the Raptors and traveled back to Los Angeles to get further treatment on his knee.

He is expected to be out for at least the next two games. Leonard has played in 30 games this season, averaging a career high of 28.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.2 steals.

The Clippers will have John Collins in the lineup as he is AVAILABLE with right groin soreness. He has been out since January 12. In his first season with the Clippers, Collins is averaging 13.1 points and five rebounds.

The rest of the Clippers' injury report looks familiar as Bradley Beal remains OUT for the season with a left hip fracture, and Chris Paul is OUT as he's away from the team.

Derrick Jones Jr remains OUT with a right knee sprain; he's been sidelined since January 3 and was set to be reevaluated six weeks after his injury. Bogdan Bogdanovic is also OUT with left hamstring injury management. He's been out since December 26.

Washington Wizards Injury Report

Trae Young is listed as OUT for the Wizards with a right knee MCL sprain and quad contusion. Young has not played for the Wizards since he was traded to the team from the Atlanta Hawks on January 9. It is unknown when he will make his Washington debut.

Cam Whitmore is also OUT for Washington with right shoulder deep vein thrombosis. He's been out since December 4 and will miss the remainder of the season.

Bilal Coulibaly is also OUT with a lower back strain. He's missed the last two games for the Wizards and is set to miss at least the next two games.

Tristan Vukcevic, who has also missed the last two games, remains OUT with a left hamstring strain.
