Baba Miller is getting better.

The Los Angeles Clippers may not have triumphed over the Los Angeles Lakers after suffering a 99-85 Summer League loss on Tuesday, but the Summer League is as much about development and growth as it is about wins and losses.

For Baba Miller, the Clippers' 36th-overall pick from the 2026 NBA Draft, growing as quickly as he can and rising to the expectations of him are the biggest priorities for him in these games.

While Keaton Wagler and his development has been stealing the show for the Clipper so far in Summer League, Miller has quietly been building a solid body of work of his own and his commitment to his development has made an impression on his teammates as well, including Kobe Sanders.

"Just his willingness to learn. We know he has the talent. His height and his ability to move at his height; he has all the intangibles, but the biggest thing about the NBA is getting better. So his ability to learn is going to take him as far as he wants to," Sanders said (via The Sporting Tribune).

Miller does have an abundance of raw talent at his disposal, which is why using the Summer League games now to sharpen his skills and adjust to the pace and the physicality that defines the NBA is such a critical period for Miller.

He does have a lot of upside. As Sanders alluded to, Miller stands at 6'11 and 208 pounds and being able to move with that kind of size and athleticism is a great sign for the kind of player that Miller can grow to be.

What Miller Can Become

In college, Miller was a dependable post player that averaged 13 points and 10.3 rebounds per game and if he can approach those same levels in the NBA , or even improve on those numbers as he continues to develop, then there could be a bright future ahead of Miller.

For now, he's been making the most of his opportunity that he has to continue developing his skills and that kind of attitude is the best trait that the Clippers can expect from Miller at this point.

Paring his raw physical talents with a competitive mentality and his willingness to learn and grow paints a positive picture of what Miller's ceiling can be as his career progresses, now it will simply take time for him to put in the hours and the work as Miller finds his footing more and more and continues to progress into a player that could be a fixture of the Clippers for years to come.
