When Michael Jordan's name keeps popping up, you just know the 2025-26 Chicago Bulls have to be doing something right. Great performances that bring up the goat are always a good thing.

The Bulls erased a 24-point deficit against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night

and pulled out a dramatic 113-111 victory to go to 6-1 on the season.

Josh Giddey had 29 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists, recording his second straight triple-double. He's the first Bulls player to have consecutive triple-doubles since Michael Jordan in 1989, two seasons BEFORE the Bulls won the first of six NBA titles.

"Whenever you come back down 20-something and win the game, it's big, especially against a team like Philly's been playing great so far," Bulls center Nikola Vucevic said. "I think it just showed the resilience we have, the belief we have, the togetherness we have."

Here is the complete game story from Bulls Roundtable publisher Gavin Dorsey.

The Bulls weren't expected to contend for a playoff spot this season, but coach Billy Donovan has them playing well.  They have beaten the New York Knicks, the Sixers, Atlanta Hawks, Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons, all teams that have made the playoffs in the past few years.

Giddey, the 23-year-old who was the sixth-overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, is averaging nearly a double-double so far this season. He's getting 23.1 points, 10.0 rebounds and 9.1 assists a game. Five other Bulls are in double figures, and three more are 7 points a game or more.

Giddey loved the Jordan comparison. This was his 20th career double-double.

“That’s cool,” he told reporters after the game. “I’m not going to sit here and lie about it and say it’s not cool.”
