The Miami Heat are bidding against teams like the Boston Celtics, Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic for Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo

The consensus among most NBA insiders is the Miami Heat are the preferred destination landing spot for Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo this summer.

The Heat plenty of young assets to move in exchange for the two-time MVP and one-time champion. But do they have the best trade package out there?

ESPN's Tim Bontemps recently tackled the issue during an appearance on the Hoop Collective podcast with Brian Windhorst and Tim MacMahon.

“The Heat have a fine (trade) package," Bontemps said. "I would say if Giannis ends up on the Heat, it’s for one of two reasons. It’s because he puts his thumb on the scale and says ‘I’m only going to play for the Heat.' ... I would not anticipate that happening."

There are several teams who are in contention with the Heat for Antetokounmpo. They include the Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics, Portland Trail Blazers and Detroit Pistons.

"Orlando can flat out outbid Miami for Giannis," Bontemps said. "It’s not a debate for me. Orlando has got a better package.”

The Heat's trade package would likely include some sort of combination of guard Tyler Herro, forwards Jaime Jaquez and Nikola Jovic, center Kel'el Ware and draft picks. The Magic could offer Desmond Bane, Jonathan Isaac and two future first-round picks.

From a picks standpoint, the Magic can offer more. It depends on who you ask if the team who has better players to offer in the deal. Herro is a one-time All-Star and former Sixth Man of the Year. Jaquez is developing into one of the top reserves while Ware is showing potential and Jovic has shown flashes.

Bane had a strong showing in his first season after coming over from the Memphis Grizzlies. He has averaged at least 20 points in three of the last four seasons but Isaac has been mostly a disappointment since being a top 10 in the 2017 draft. Last year he was phased out of the rotation before dealing with a late-season injury.
