Zaire Wade, who is the son of Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade, was released on $50,000 bond after being arrested for domestic violence charges

Zaire Wade, the son of Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade, was recently arrested for felony domestic violence charges.

According to NBC4 in Southern California, the younger Wade was released on $50,000 bond. The report stated the woman involved in the incident did not require treatment but had lacerations on her face and body. A handgun was also removed from the residence.

Zaire Wade is the oldest child of the Heat legend. He had a brief stint in G League and played briefly overseas.

LEBRON'S AGENT COMMENTS ON GIANNIS

The Heat have their leading man in place for next season.

Now, they have to start searching for a supporting cast. After landing two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks earlier this week, they must now look for the pieces to place around him and center Bam Adebayo.

Everyone around the NBA is discussing it, including a person with familiar ties to the organization. Rich Paul, who is LeBron James' agent, recently gave his take in an interview with Max Kellerman.

Paul said Miami always has location as an advantage when it comes time to land top free agents.

“There’s a lot of work to be done," Paul said. "The one good thing about Miami is, when you talk about back filling a roster with minimums, who don’t want to go to Miami on a minimum?”

HEAT ADD FORMER UM PLAYER

If there’s one area the Heat do better than the rest of the league, it’s finding and developing overlooked talent. The organization has an impressive track record: Gabe Vincent, Max Strus, Caleb Martin, Haywood Highsmith, and Duncan Robinson – all currently active. Although they’ve gone on to have extended careers elsewhere, the journey doesn’t happen without an opportunity in South Florida.

The pioneer of the Heat’s successful undrafted club is three-time NBA champion Udonis Haslem. After four years at the University of Florida, followed by one season of overseas basketball, the Miami native returned home to pursue a life-changing dream. Haslem signed with the Heat in 2003 – alongside lottery pick Dwyane Wade – and the rest was history.

Looking to join the list is former Miami Hurricanes guard Tre Donaldson. After officially going undrafted on Wednesday night, he reportedly agreed to a two-way contract with the Heat franchise. If intact by the start of the 2026-27 regular season, Donaldson will split stints between the main roster and the Sioux Falls Skyforce – G-League affiliate.
