The Miami Heat, despite moments of stagnant offense, managed to secure a strong victory against the shorthanded Golden State Warriors.

Miami, FL - The Miami Heat were coming off a wild bounce-back victory over the New York Knicks on Monday night, with a final score of 115-113. They had six players score in double figures, most notably Kel'el Ware, who finished with 16 points, 14 rebounds, three blocks, a steal, and an assist in 31 minutes of action. It was one of his more impactful games thus far this season.

On the other hand, the Golden State Warriors were on the second night of a back-to-back, coming off a difficult loss against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night. All-Stars Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler, and Draymond Green played over 30 minutes. They combined for 79 points, but couldn't get the job done on the defensive end.

The Magic had six players score in double figures, with notable performances, such as Wendell Carter Jr., who finished with 17 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 35 minutes. The eight-year veteran recorded his third double-double of the season. Anthony Black recorded a new season-high, 21 points, along with four rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 33 minutes.

Curry and Green were sidelined in last night's game against the Heat. Butler, who spent six seasons with the organization, would also not suit up due to lower back strain. It would've been his second game returning to South Florida since last year's trade.

The Warriors were also without Al Horford (left toe; injury management), Jonathan Kuminga (bilateral knee; patellar tendonitis), and De'Anthony Melton, who has yet to make his season debut, due to left ACL surgery.

As for the Heat, All-Star guard Tyler Herro remains sidelined due to left ankle surgery, but is on the cusp of a return. Also, Nikola Jovic was a shocking addition to the injury list and wouldn't suit up due to right hip impingement.

However, All-Star center Bam Adebayo would make his return after a six-game absence due to a left great toe sprain.

    The starting lineups:

    Heat: Davion Mitchell-Pelle Larsson-Norman Powell-Andrew Wiggins-Bam Adebayo

    Warriors: Brandin Podziemski-Moses Moody-Gui Santos-Will Richard-Trayce Jackson-Davis

As Adebayo returned to the fold, Ware went back to his bench role.

It was time for tipoff and the Heat wasted no time catching fire on offense, going on a 20-4 run to start the game before the Warriors made their first field goal, which came at the 5:25 minute mark of the first quarter.

Without Curry, Butler, or Green, it would be difficult for the visitors to produce a highly efficient offense.

However, the Warriors began to catch fire in the second quarter, going on a 17-4 run, which led to them tying the game. There was tension between Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Pat Spencer before the end of the first half.

The Heat still led 49-45 as both teams headed to their locker rooms.

The Warriors' starters combined for 21 points in the first half. Norman Powell also wasn't his normal self, with just three points in 10 minutes out of the first 24 for the game.

The third quarter remained tight, but the Warriors' offense was no longer cold, and they took their first lead of the game at the 6:03 minute mark. However, it was short-lived, as the Heat reclaimed control, going on a 21-4 run which overlapped into the fourth quarter.

At that point, it was already over, as the Heat secured the victory, with a final score of 110-96. They improved their record to 9-6, 7-1 at home.

Ware's scoring wasn't the same as it was against the Knicks, finishing with seven points, but his rebounding remained impactful, 16 for the game.

Powell struggled in the first half but caught fire in the second, scoring 22 of his 25 points, along with three three-pointers made, throughout that portion.

"I think my mentality has always been the same, to go out there and be aggressive, take what the defense gives me," he said. "Play my game, my teammates trust me, coaches trust me that I'm going to get in there, make the right plays, make the right reads. I really simplify the game. Take what the defense gives, work on my spots, get to where I'm comfortable, and make the plays that are in front of me. My mentality never changes, no matter who we're playing against."

In Adebayo's first game back from injury, he finished with 20 points, along with three three-pointers made, seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and a steal in 29 minutes.

"I felt good," he said. "Trying to find a rhythm, not overdo it, let the game come to me. It did at some point. That's the biggest thing about the game. The way we play, the ball is always going to find a way to find you if you have good intentions and making the right reads."

Erik Spoelstra jokingly said that the moment Dru Smith passed him the ball was when momentum shifted in the Heat's favor.

"That changed the energy, and then everyone else fed off that," he said. "Norm, at the end, I thought he was just really good in the second half. It was frustrating, obviously, in the first half, he only had three points. He responded with his voice, was verbal in every huddle, and engaged. He was figuring out a different way to make an impact. It started with his voice, making defensive efforts, and down the stretch, he was really good with the ball in his hands."

The Heat will travel for a mini two-game road trip, Friday against the Chicago Bulls, then Sunday against the Philadelphia 76ers. Afterwards, they will host a four-game homestand.
