LeBron James' agent, Rich Paul, says he has kept his free agency plans quiet from everyone

It seems there is a report every day about the future plans of NBA superstar LeBron James.

One day, he's headed to the Miami Heat. The next, it's the Golden State Warriors. Then it's the Philadelphia 76ers. And so on.

The reality is James is keeping his plans a secret from everyone, just like he did in 2010 when he chose to join Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade with the Heat. James has been selective of who he's told what since he announced he was leaving the Los Angeles Lakers last month.

His agent, Rich Paul, confirmed this during an appearance on the Game Over podcast.

“I’ll say it again, none of these people know anything," Paul said. "Nobody knows nothing, and I say that respectfully because we haven’t made it to where anyone knows anything ... We’re not making this about attention and spectacle ... He has a choice to make ... Why does an athlete have to rush his choice?”

Many were under the impression that James would make an early decision so whichever team he chose could start building pieces around him. That doesn't seem the case because more than three weeks have passed since the free agency period opened.

The Heat are reportedly among the short list of teams that James is considering. There have plenty reports about the Sixers and Warriors being in the hunt. There's also the New York Knicks, San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers. James is in a comfortable situation of being able to pick and choose because money isn't an issue.

He's already a billionaire so he could easily choose to play for the league minimum. The Heat may be his landing spot because they would become an instant contender with him, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo as the top three players.

It just seems this race could go on longer than originally expected, so buckle up.
