The Charlotte Hornets have announced an exciting update on broadcast partnerships ahead of the new 2026-27 NBA season.
Gray Media and Sinclair will now bring Hornets basketball all across the states of North and South Carolina for the upcoming season. This will allow fans all over to watch the Hornets, never missing any of the exciting game action.
The move will begin in October for the Hornets in all eight markets across the two states. This includes Charleston, Columbia, Greensboro, Greenville-New Bern, Greenville-Spartanburg-Asheville-Anderson, Myrtle Beach, Raleigh, and Wilmington.
Fans will be able to watch the games on local stations, with Sinclair handling games in Greensboro and Raleigh. Gray Media will deal with all the other markets, while also expanding coverage into parts of Virginia as well.
The broadcasts will have both pre-and-post-game coverage of the Hornets, while also diving into analysis of the team. Storylines from around the rest of the NBA will also be discussed, keeping fans up to date on everything going on around the league.

- Charleston: WCSC 5.1 and WCSC 5.3
- Columbia: WIS 10.1, WIS 10.2 and WIS 10.4
- Greensboro: WMYV Channel 48
- Greenville-New Bern: WITN 7.1 and WITN 7.2
- Greenville-Spartanburg-Asheville-Anderson: WHNS 21.1 and WHNS 21.2
- Myrtle Beach: WMBF 32.1 and WMBF 32.3
- Raleigh: WRDC MyNet Channel 28
- Roanoke: WDBJ 7.1 and WZBJ 24.1

While the Hornets aren't seen as a true title contender this season, Charlotte could end up being one of the more exciting teams in the league. Last season, the Hornets had one of the strongest offenses in the NBA, and the team will be looking to replicate that success again in 2026-27.
Forward Brandon Miller and second-year star Kon Knueppel now lead the charge for the Hornets, giving this team a youth movement. But Charlotte also has veterans in center Naz Reid and guard Coby White, bringing a nice mix to the roster construction.
The Eastern Conference should be much stronger this coming season, but the Hornets could be a sleeper playoff team if all goes to plan. Charlotte wants to get back to competing for a postseason spot, and this coming year could be the first stepping stone for the organization.
The Hornets will kick off the 2026-27 NBA season against the Brooklyn Nets on the road on October 21. Charlotte's home opener will take place a few days later on October 23, when they host the Atlanta Hawks.
