The New York Knicks can advance to the NBA Finals on Monday with a victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Knicks won game three, 121-108, to take a 3-0 series lead. They never trailed in the game and led by as many as 17 in the fourth quarter. Despite the series shifting to Cleveland, the Cavaliers could never get sustained momentum as the Knicks jumped out to a quick lead and never looked back.
The Cavaliers were criticized for quitting late in the fourth quarter for giving up an easy layup to Brunson, though the Cavs didn't get many stops in the final frame.
The Knicks lead the series 3-0. Game four takes place at Rocket Mortgage Arena in Cleveland with a start time of 8 PM ET.
New York Knicks Injury Report
For a third straight game, the Knicks have a clean injury report with no one listed.
All five scored in double figures in game three. Brunson led the way with 30 points to go along with six assists and three rebounds. Bridges scored 22 points and grabbed six rebounds while Anunoby had 21 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
Hart and Towns had all-around games offensively as Hart had 12 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Towns finished with 13 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. He was a game high +23.
Miles McBride and Landry Shamet played over 14 minutes. Shamet scored 14 points, knocking down four threes. Mitchell Robinson played just under ten minutes.
Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavaliers also have a clean injury report for the third straight game.
The Cavs once again started Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, Donovan Mitchell, James Harden, and Dean Wade in game three. Wade played less than 17 minutes and didn't score. Sam Merrill and Max Strus played more minutes off the bench than Wade.
Mobley led the team in scoring with 24 points to go along with six rebounds. Mitchell had 23 points, Harden had 19 points, and Allen had 17 points.
Merrell played 23 minutes, scoring six points, while Strus played 31 minutes and scored 13 points, hitting four threes.
Dennis Schroder and Jaylon Tyson also got minutes off the bench.
