The Knicks are going to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999.

The New York Knicks are going to the NBA Finals for the first time in 27 years and it looks like they cannot be stopped.

They dominated the Cavaliers in four games, capped off with yet another blowout, this time by the score of 130-93 in Game 4 and the way they did it encapsulates everything that has made the Knicks so successful in this incredible playoff run.

Six different Knicks scored in the double digits with Karl-Anthony Towns leading the way with a 19 point, 14 rebound double-double. Towns made a statement in Game 4 not just with his scoring or his boards, but with his incredible defensive presence in the paint, adding two blocks and two steals to his stellar night.

A Team Effort

The greatest strength of the Knicks during this run has been their teamwork and their commitment to selflessness. While so many different players hit double digits in the game, no one scored more than 20 points, yet the Knicks still took over game and put up 130 points.

That level of selflessness across the roster is one of those intangible factors that has made the Knicks so elite this postseason. Their ball movement was off the charts and seemingly no matter where the ball ended up, it found a Knicks that ready to get off a shot and often, make it.

As a team, they shot 49% from the field and 44% from three point range, sinking 19 triples in total.

Behind Towns, OG Anunoby scored 17 points while Mikal Bridges and Jalen Brunson both scored 15.

Brunson The MVP

After the game and as chants of "Let's Go Knicks" rang around the arena despite the game taking place in Cleveland, Brunson was named the Eastern Conference MVP after a dominant four-game run where he averaged 25.5 points, 7.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds while leading the Knicks to victory.

On the Cleveland side of things, Donovan Mitchell led the game with 31 points, though despite his best efforts, the Cavaliers were simply no match for the synergy of the Knicks.

With this sweep, the Knicks have now won 11-straight games in the playoffs in dominant fashion and achieving the largest point-differential in playoff history between their victories over the Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers and now, the Cavaliers.

Now, the Knicks advance to the NBA Finals, where they await the winner between the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.
