

The New York Knicks return to action on Friday to take on the top team in the Eastern Conference, the Detroit Pistons.
The Knicks have won eight straight games, coming off a 134-127 double overtime victory against the Denver Nuggets. They'll play their next two games on the road after hosting the Nuggets at Madison Square Garden.
The Pistons fell to the Washington Wizards on Thursday, 126-117. The loss snapped a three-game win streak. The Pistons are finishing up a four-game homestand where they are currently 2-1.
This is the second meeting of the season between the top two teams in the East. The Pistons scored a 121-90 victory at MSG on January 5. It won't take long for them to meet again as they'll play for a third and final time on February 19.
The Knicks have a few starters listed on the injury report, beginning with Karl-Anthony Towns, who is DOUBTFUL with a right eye laceration. Towns was sporting a bandage over his eye by the end of the Nuggets game.
He played 31 after fouling out against Denver, finishing with 24 points and 12 rebounds. On the season, Towns is averaging 19.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in 48 games. He's missed only three games this season.
Josh Hart is PROBABLE with a left ankle sprain. Hart missed the game against Denver after playing eight straight.
He's averaging 12.3 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 5.1 assists in 39 games this season.
In good news for the Knicks, OG Anunoby is PROBABLE with right toe soreness. He played 48 minutes against the Nuggets, scoring 20 points, grabbing eight rebounds and dishing four assists. He hasn't missed a game since December 23.
Miles McBride remains OUT with left ankle and core muscle injury management. Is set to undergo surgery and could be out until at least the playoffs.
Newly acquired Jose Alvarado is OUT as he is not with the team following the trade.
Dillon Jones is OUT on G-League assignment.
Pistons All-Star Jalen Duren is QUESTIONABLE with right knee soreness. He suffered an injury against Washington, leaving the game after 13 minutes.
In 43 games this season, Duren is averaging 17.7 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists.
Tobias Harris is PROBABLE with left hip soreness. He missed the game against the Wizards, but had played in 11 straight prior.
The veteran forward is averaging 13.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 34 games.
Ducan Robinson is also PROBABLE with a left quad contusion. He played 30 minutes against the Wizards, finishing with 21 points and going 6-15 from three.
Tolu Smith is OUT on G-League assignment.
