The Lakers are coming off a 128-117 victory over the Indiana Pacers, a bounce back victory after losing to the Nuggets. They are also 4-1 in their last five games, but 6-4 in their last ten. This is their second game in a five game homestand where they'll host three teams from the East. They currently occupy sixth in the West at 38-25, .5 games behind the Denver Nuggets.
This will be the final meeting between the two teams this season. The Knicks won 112-100 on February 1 at Madison Square Garden.
The Knicks are listing Landry Shamet as QUESTIONABLE with a cervical sprain.
He played 18 minutes against the Nuggets, finishing with 10 points on 3-5 shooting and 2-4 from three.
In 39 games this season, Shamet is averaging 10.1 points and shooting 41% from three on 5.2 attempts per game. He averages 22.5 minutes off the bench.
The Knicks are expected to start Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby, Karl-Anthony Towns, Josh Hart, and Mikal Bridges. Mitchell Robinson, Mohamed Diawara, and Jose Alvarado will get time off the bench.
Miles McBride remains OUT after undergoing pelvic core muscle surgery. The Knicks are hopeful he'll be back at some point in the playoffs.
Dillon Jones is OUT on a G-League two-way deal.
The Lakers are listing LeBron James as QUESTIONABLE with a left elbow contusion and left foot arthritis. He did not play against the Pacers on Friday.
He took a hard fall against the Nuggets on March 5 and was grimacing, saying it was his elbow hurting, as he was attended to by teammates. He did end up finishing the game.
Deandre Ayton is off the injury report, meaning he should return for this one. He played just five minutes against the Nuggets before leaving the game. He did not play against the Pacers.
Maxi Kleber is QUESTIONABLE for the Lakers with a lumbar back strain. He's been out since March 1.
Bronny James and Adou Thiero are OUT on G-League assignment.
