Austin Reaves couldn't have been happier about his teammate's late-game triple.

The Los Angeles Lakers one of the best teams in the NBA when it comes to playing in the clutch and seeing who they have on their roster, it's not hard to understand why.

With players like Luka Doncic, who's been one of the best teams in the NBA this season and has especially been on a tear as of late, alongside LeBron James and Austin Reaves, the Lakers have no shortage of players that can rise to the occasion and put up big shots when games are tight.

Since the trade deadline though, there's been another late game weapon added to the team: Luke Kennard.

The best three point shooter in the league got his own chance to sign in the Lakers' 105-104 win over the Orlando Magic Saturday night. With seconds left, Kennard was left wide open at the top of the arc and sank a catch-and-shoot three pointer to give the Lakers the lead and just a moment later, the win.

Kennard was mobbed on the court by his teammates and after the game, Reaves couldn't have been happier or more impressed by his newest teammate.

Reaves Praises Kennard

"It was probably the happiest I've been in a long time," Reaves said (via Spectrum SportsNet). "Just a big shot. He's one of the best shooters in the league... To knock that down with confidence and give us the win is huge."

The energy behind the Lakers right now is about as high octane as it's been all season. They're riding a nine-game winning streak and the entire team looks like they're clicking better than ever. Someone new can step up every night, just like Kennard did against the Magic, and the overall buy-in from the whole roster is extremely high.

Picking up Kennard at the deadline may have been one of the sneakier and more underrated deals that any team made, but it's been one of the most impactful.

The Variety of the Lakers' Offense

He's such a threat from the perimeter that as the Lakers' more attention-grabbing players draw the focus of the defense, either in side the paint or on another piece of the perimeter, Kennard can often find himself with the floor all to himself before grabbing the ball and firing off a long shot.

That's what happened against the Magic and that's what translated into a win. With such a variety of threats on a team that's been criticized at times this season for a lack of depth, the Lakers are finding bigger and better ways to win each game.
