The Los Angeles Lakers have chained together two blowout wins in a row after taking down the Sacramento Kings 128-104 on Sunday in a bounce back from three straight losses and while the Lakers' response to their losing streak is a great sign, head coach JJ Redick isn't getting ahead of himself just yet.
Redick knows that anything can happen in the NBA and the Lakers have been on the wrong side of blowouts plenty of times this season, so while their last two games have been great signs of what they're capable of coming down the stretch, it's just as important to take every game one day at a time.
"The world has fallen for us 19 times. It's just a part of this cycle," Redick said (via The Sporting Tribune). "Our guys have bounced back and responded well throughout the season... We're just going to keep plugging away."

The superstar pair combined for 52 points in the victory, with James turning in one of his best performances of the season with 24 points, one rebound, five assists and one block.
The Lakers' recent skid has has made them the current sixth-seed in the Western Conference and with them hanging on the edge of playoff contention, every game in this final stretch of the season is more crucial than ever.

Their back-to-back blowout victories are great ways to generate some momentum as the season comes to a close, but their response to adversity throughout the season has been just as crucial.
The Lakers' season has fluctuated more than most, with them beginning the season as one of the top teams in the NBA before experiencing some hard falls, but they've scarcely let that deter them.
Three straight losses is the longest losing streak that the Lakers have suffered this season, though that's happened a handful of times. Their winning streaks have been far more triumphant and it's for that reason that the Lakers have managed to stay level and keep themselves in a position to contend for the playoffs.
Redick knows that every game is a new opportunity for either a win or loss and while the Lakers' recent performance on the court has them looking as dominant as they did at the beginning of the season, there's still a lot of work to be done.
