Clark made an appearance at Wednesday's Pacers game against the Lakers, and Luka had a message for her.

Luka Doncic dropped 43 points Wednesday night to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 137-130 road victory over the Indiana Pacers, bouncing back after their nine-game winning streak was snapped in Detroit on Monday.

It was another dominant showing from Doncic on a road trip where he has been nearly unstoppable, and the win moved the Lakers to 47-26 on the season as they continue to hold the third seed in the Western Conference.

But one of the more interesting moments of the night came during Doncic's postgame press conference, when a reporter asked if he had noticed Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark taking photos along the baseline during the game.

The question caught Doncic off guard, and he needed the reporter to repeat it before he understood what was being asked.

Doncic Praises Clark After Learning About Her Courtside Role

Clark, the two-time WNBA All-Star, was credentialed by the Pacers as a special guest photographer and spent the night stationed courtside with a camera, snapping shots of the action from floor level.

She even captured a photo of Doncic at one point, though the Lakers guard had no idea until the postgame presser.

Once it clicked, Doncic didn't hold back in showing his respect. "I'm a big fan for sure, I watch a lot of games," Doncic said. "Definitely, her hooping is great to watch. For sure, gotta go to a game to see her."

That Doncic was completely unaware of Clark's presence says something about how locked in he was on Wednesday.

His 43 points came on 15-of-30 shooting with four threes and a 9-of-10 mark from the free throw line, adding seven assists and six rebounds.

He is averaging 33.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 8.3 assists this season, which keeps him atop the NBA's scoring leaderboard and firmly in the MVP conversation heading into the final stretch.

Another Statement From Doncic on the Road

The performance was the latest in a stretch that has separated Doncic from just about everyone else in the league over the past month.

He averaged 40.7 points per game across the Lakers' six-game road trip and became the first player to average 40 or more over a six-game road stretch since Michael Jordan in 1986, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

Even in Monday's loss to the Pistons, he still put up 32 on a night where Detroit just made more plays down the stretch.

The Lakers needed this win after that Detroit loss threatened to slow their momentum heading into the final 10 games.

Against a Pacers team sitting at 16-57 and already eliminated from playoff contention, Doncic made sure there was no letdown, and the game was never really in doubt once he got going in the first half.

Clark Set to Return to the Court Soon

As for Clark, she posted on social media after the game that she has "some good stuff coming" from her night behind the lens.

The Fever guard has averaged 18.5 points and 8.5 assists across her first two WNBA seasons and recently returned to competitive play with Team USA at the FIBA World Cup Qualifying Tournament, where she led the Americans in scoring during a 5-0 run in Puerto Rico.

Indiana opens the 2026 WNBA season on May 9, so Doncic will have to wait until the Lakers' own postseason run is underway before he can follow through on catching one of her games.
