Brooklyn pulled off the biggest stunner of Saturday by knocking off the Pistons.

The Brooklyn Nets faced a team that pounded them by 53 points one month ago. Then walked into Little Caesars Arena as a 14-point underdog against the Detroit Pistons

But the massive underdogs erased a 23-point deficit to stun one of the Eastern Conference's best teams 107-105 on Saturday.

The win does more than hand Brooklyn its biggest upset of the season. It ends the 10-game slide the Nets were on. One more loss would've tied the previous mark of 11 in a row set in the 2021-22 season.

So how did the young and overwhelmed Nets pulls this one off?

Star Pistons Cade Cunningham and Ausar Thompson weren't on the floor -- both dealing with injuries. Cunningham sustained a left quad contusion while Thompson has a right ankle sprain.

But Detroit can't make the excuse of not having both as a factor. The Pistons jumped out to a 31-18 lead at the start of the first quarter before building the lead to 23 at the third quarter.

Brooklyn clamped down on defense; forcing Detroit to shoot 7-of-19 from field goal range (only 36.8%). Michael Porter Jr. and Day'Ron Sharpe later banked back-to-back three-pointers in the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to eight at 95-87.

Sharpe later sliced the lead to four (103-99) by getting the basketball in off tip-ins and a running layup. Ziaire Williams developed a late hot hand too by hitting consecutive threes to make it 105-103 in favor of the Nets. Porter came in next to hit two baskets from the white stripe and forcing a two possession disadvantage for Detroit.

Duncan Robinson had one last opportunity to hand the Pistons the win. He took the pass from the corner and attempted to launch one last heave. But he missed...only for Jalen Duren to grab the rebound and try to go for the tie. But his jumper misfired and the Nets celebrated the long-awaited victory.

Porter dropped 30 points to lead Brooklyn and hit 3-of-12 from behind the arc. He delivered the double-double too by grabbing 13 rebounds.

Williams dropped 23 points in 32 minutes. Noah Clowney scored 16 points while Sharpe produced 13 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Nic Claxton led the defensive charge by swatting three shot opportunities.
