Which talent is Toronto looking closely at on the side of Brooklyn? Especially with trades coming to a cease on Thursday?

Trade chatter surrounding the Brooklyn Nets slowly started to dissipate on Monday. Giannis Antetokounmpo as a possibility got ruled out, while Michael Porter Jr. remained on the Nets' roster.

But the Toronto Raptors have come knocking, per one insider's late Monday report.

NBA insider Marc Stein is revealing that the Eastern Conference franchise has expressed more late interest in two players -- one of which hails from Brooklyn.

But it's not Porter. Nor is it Nic Claxton or Cam Thomas -- the next two widely popular Nets players who could get moved.

So who representing Brooklyn is becoming a late addition possibility?

"Sources say that Toronto, in addition to calls on mid-tier centers like Dallas' Daniel Gafford, has also expressed interested in Brooklyn's DayRon Sharpe," The Stein Line revealed

Sharpe has garnered trending trade chatter across league circles. The 6-foot-10 center is still young at 24 and has flashed his potential on multiple nights.

He's currently averaging eight points a night through 46 games, including three starts. Sharpe has averaged more than six rebounds per game through his last trio of seasons. He's even averaging more assists (2.2) in his career.

Sharpe delivered 14 games that saw him reach double figures in scoring. He's even produced two double-doubles this season as well.

His own star teammate Porter, though, handed him this endorsement.

"Day'Day's a beast. He's a starting five in the NBA,” Porter Jr. said back on Jan. 6 via Erik Slater of ClutchPoints. “But we have two starting fives: Clax and him. So, it's good that when Clax is out, you can put Day in there, and there's no drop-off."

Porter added: "They both can make passes, they both can finish around the rim, they both rebound, they both defend."

MPJ still remained in awe of Sharpe's motor.

"Day'Day plays very, very hard. He's a great locker room guy," Porter added. "I'm very fortunate to be able to play on a team with two big men who are as good as him and Clax.”

It's not presently known what the Nets earn in return through this rising possible deal. Signs point to RJ Barrett being sacrificed here, though. The scoring guard has risen among league trade talks in recent weeks as well.

The Sharpe-to-Toronto rumbling is a new move to monitor late into the league's final week to deliver trades.
