New York eyes a 2-0 Finals lead as Mitchell Robinson fights through a hand injury to join Jalen Brunson against Victor Wembanyama’s healthy San Antonio squad.

It appears that both the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs will be at full strength again for Friday night's Game 2 matchup of the NBA Finals.

After an early injury scare for Knicks star guard Jalen Brunson, the injury report lists only center Mitchell Robinson, who is probable going into the game.

Robinson was also a late decision for Game 1, managing a hand injury. He ended up playing 13 minutes off the bench in the Knicks' 105-95 victory to open the series.

In the early goings of the first game, Brunson left the court after Spurs forward Harrison Barnes fell down and landed in a collision with Brunson's knee. The star guard returned later in the game to complete his 30-point performance, helping to lift the Knicks over San Antonio and taking a 1-0 lead in the series.

Brunson is listed in the starting lineup as the Knicks hope to extend their series lead to 2-0 Friday night.

On the other side, the Spurs have a clear bill of health heading into the game, which will be another home affair for the club. Star forward Victor Wembanyama will be surrounded by the usual members of the band while rising rookie Dylan Harper provides a charge from the bench.

The Spurs are trying to fend off an 0-2 start in the NBA Finals, which has often been a death knell for teams.

Throughout the history of the league, only five teams won the championship after going down 0-2 in the Finals series. However, three of those five teams have done so since 2006. The most recent example is the Milwaukee Bucks, who overcame the two-game opening pit to topple the Phoenix Suns.
