Cam Johnson speaks following the end of the Denver Nuggets season.
The Denver Nuggets were hoping to still being playing basketball in late March, but their season came to an end much earlier at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
It was the second time in three seasons that the Timberwolves ended the championship aspirations of the Nuggets, with Minnesota previously defeating Denver in seven games back in the 2024 playoffs.
This was perhaps Denver's most disappointing showing since their championship run in 2023 as Minnesota was down Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo for the second half of game four and all of games five and six.
After the season, Nuggets executive Josh Kroenke hinted that changes could be made with everything being on the table, with the exception of trading Nikola Jokic.

Speaking on The Old Man and The Three, Cam Johnson addressed the Nuggets' season coming to an early end.
"I understand the frustration and the feelings that come along with being upset in the first round. Nobody wants that to happen," he said. "If we could redo it, we could, but that's not life."
Johnson says the NBA teaches you about adversity, sticking things out, and receiving criticism.
Johnson said the team has to move on and attack the offseason.
This was Johnson's first season with the Nuggets after he was acquired from the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Michael Porter Jr.
Johnson averaged 12.2 points per game, shooting 43% from three on 4.7 attempts, which is the lowest number of attempts in his career.
Cam Johnson's First Season With Denver
The Nuggets traded for Johnson after a disappointing playoffs for Porter Jr in 2025. MPJ, who was dealing with a hurt shoulder, averaged 9.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and shot 34% from three, all down from his regular season numbers of 18.2 points, seven rebounds, and 39% from three.
Johnson was viewed as a more reliable knockdown shooter, and while he proved to be that in the regular season, he, like many on the Nuggets, struggled throughout the postseason.
Johnson averaged 14.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and shot 31% from three in the six game series.
He was far from the only Nugget to disappoint, but he was always going to be compared to MPJ given that they were traded for each other.
Johnson has one year remaining on his contract and is owed $23 million this upcoming season. He is eligible for an extension in the offseason.
