The Denver Nuggets were on fire from three point range across the board in their 157-103 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night, but one Nuggets' three point performance stood out more than others.
As a whole, the Nuggets shot 21-41 from three point range, with Jamal Murray leading the way with 6-1`2 three point shooting. Right behind him though was Tim Hardaway Jr., who shot 7-11 from three point range and in the process crossed a major career milestone.
Hardaway Jr. shot his 2,000th career three pointer in the Nuggets' dominant win, becoming just the 19th player in NBA history to do so. Hardaway Jr. is in his first season with the Nuggets and has already made an impact as a reliable scorer both off the bench and in the occasional start when called up.

Kirby Lee-Imagn ImagesHis three point shooting is obviously what stands out the most about Hardaway Jr.'s game and he is second on the team in three points made behind Murray, and whole his teammates are aware of his prowess and proud of his Friday night milestone, they want to remind the world how great Hardaway Jr. is overall, too.
"I think it's definitely something [that's] his legacy. Just to shoot that many. It's definitely something that he's going to be remembered for," Nikola Jokic said (via Nuggets). "He's a really good player for us. People are gonna probably remember him as a good shooter, but he's a really good player."
Denver Nuggets guard Tim Hardaway Jr. (10) shoots over Washington Wizards guard Tre Johnson (12) during the second half at Capital One Arena. Daniel Kucin Jr.-Imagn ImagesHardaway's milestone is a huge reflection of his prowess as a long distance threat, but it's also a relatively new development in his game since coming to Denver. Hardaway Jr. is more efficient than ever from beyond the arc, shooting 40.8%, and his overall field goal percentage is well into career-high territory as well at 45.4%
Hardaway Jr.'s presence has been huge for the Nuggets this season, especially with how strapped for depth the team has been at times due to injury. Having such a reliable and established shooter waiting on the bench has been a huge plus both for the Nuggets' ability to establish pace and keep up intensity in switches.
Having him on the court is a big reason that the Nuggets have soared to become the number one offense in the NBA and why they've been able to stay in the upper echelon of playoff contention despite losing so many of their starters throughout the season due to injury.
