Nuggets Could Be Missing Key Starter Against Golden State Warriors cover image

The Denver Nuggets might be shorthanded against the Warriors.

The Denver Nuggets will look to build off their blowout victory when they take on the Golden State Warriors on Sunday. 

The Nuggets are coming off a 157-103 rout of the Portland Trail Blazers, one night after dropping a close contest to the Los Angeles Clippers. Denver has traded wins and losses in their last six games. They are 36-21, sitting third in the Western Conference. 

The Warriors dropped their last game, 121-110, to the Boston Celtics. They have lost two straight and five of their last seven. This game wraps up a four-game homestand. They are eighth in the West at 29-27. 

This is the third meeting of the season between the two teams. They split the first two, both of which came in the first ten games of the season. They'll meet one more time on March 29. 

Denver Nuggets Injury Report

Jamal Murray is QUESTIONABLE with right hamstring tightness. Murray played 25 minutes against the Blazers, finishing with 25 points. 

The Nuggets All-Star hasn't missed a game since January 23. In 52 games this season, he's averaging 25.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 7.6 assists. 

Denver will continue to be without Aaron Gordon and Peyton Watson, both of whom are OUT with right hamstring strains. 

Gordon has been out since January 23 and was set to be reevaluated in four to six weeks from January 29. Watson has been out since February 4. He was expected to miss four weeks from the time of his injury. 

Jalen Pickett is OUT with right knee soreness. He's missed the last two games. 

Tamar Bates remains OUT after undergoing left foot surgery. He was set to be reevaluated in 12 weeks from December 22. 

Golden State Warriors Injury Report

Kristaps Porzingis is PROBABLE with right Achilles tendon injury management. He made his Warriors debut on February 19, playing in his first game since January 7. In 17 minutes, Porzingis scored 12 points. 

Steph Curry remains OUT with right patellofemoral pain syndrome. He's been out since January 30. He is set to be reevaluated 10 days from February 19. 

Seth Curry is still OUT with left sciatic nerve irritation. On February 18, it was announced that he would miss at least two more weeks. He has not played since December 4, suiting up in only two games this season. 

Jimmy Butler is OUT after undergoing right ACL surgery. He will not return this season. 

LJ Cryer, Nate Williams, and Malevy Leons are both OUT on G-League two-way deals.
